Uncool Britannia? Anger Management Courses Go Nationwide to Quell British Bad Temper

The British Association of Anger Management (BAAM) was established in 1999 and is based in East Grinstead, West Sussex. BAAM is recognised by the NHS, BUPA, the court authorities and the BACP and its services are available to anyone who is dealing with their own or another person's anger. The organisation has worked with over 7,000 people, including many international celebrities, and currently receives over 12,000 website visits per month, with up to 50 telephone enquiries per day. BAAM’s Mike Fisher has experienced personal success with his book, ‘Beating Anger’, with 15,000 copies sold since its launch in London, Cape Town and Johannesburg in March 2005. He is working on the next book in his series, ‘Beating Fear’, which will launch in March 2007. Mike Fisher was also the specialist on BBC’s ‘Can’t Stop Losing My Cool’ programme about angry people, which screened in February 2005.
