Press Dispensary - February 02, 2005 - Midnight on Monday February 7 sees the screening of Can't Stop Losing My Cool a fascinating documentary about the frightening escalation of anger incidents in British life. The educational expose is filmed by BBC3 with help from The British Association of Anger Management (BAAM)
Can't Stop Losing It examines how the UK has become a nation that can't keep its cool. It follows a day in the life of several diverse characters, revealing what drives them to become angry and sometimes violent. The issues of relationship rage, road rage, work rage, street rage and noise rage all come under the microscope. The documentary culminates with the participants attending BAAM¹s anger management course with explosive results.
Mike Fisher, director of BAAM, comments: “Anger is on the increase in the UK and, frequently, it goes unchecked sometimes with tragic results. Can't Stop Losing It gives viewers an inside view into anger problems and how afflicted people can go about managing them. As the programme shows, extinguishing the flames of anger can be a difficult and demanding process.”
BAAM also promotes an annual National Anger Awareness Week which takes place at the start of December every year. As part of this scheme, it provides a free downloadable ‘Keep Your Cool Kit’ at http://www.angermanage.co.uk/keepcool.html.
