Clara Morgan, a Year 3 pupil studying at Great and Little Shelford C.E. (A) School won the 2012 Young Writers Competition for Years 3/4, sponsored by Excelr8 Learning and received a mountain bike, awarded last weekend by Excelr8’s owner and manager, Ms Anna Crown, in a short ceremony at Excelr8 Learning’s centre in Milton. Anna Crown then joined the school's assembly last week to award the school a £200 prize. Clara's story was also read out to the assembly in front of the children and parents.
The annual pair of £200 school prizes (as well as the mountain bike prizes to the winners themselves) form part of Excelr8 Learning’s support for local schools, enabling them to purchase more written expression resources and to assist their pupils to become better writers and to enjoy writing.
