Invisible Ink Pen Makes its Mark to Protect Stolen Property

May 07, 2008, Press Dispensary. Security manufacturer, DNS Creative, is unleashing its latest weapon in the war against thieves - the ‘YouVTag’ ( YouVTag is an ultra violet pen which can permanently mark most surfaces including paper, currency and plastic, enabling easy identification should items be lost or stolen. Unlike other similar products on the market, YouVTag has an ultra violet LED torch built into the pen cap allowing the user to read the security mark as it’s being written.

Aimed at consumers and businesses, the pen comes complete with batteries, full instructions and a list of suggested uses. Its UV ink is invisible to the naked eye and will only show when exposed to ultra violet light, ensuring property isn’t spoiled or devalued in the marking process. It is an ideal way of protecting business or personal property - such as tools, office equipment, books, computers, MP3 players, games consoles and mobile phones - proving ownership and minimising loss.

Security marking is recognised by the police as having a role to play in crime prevention. For ease of identification, the police advocates writing a postcode, house number and surname on each item.

DNS Creative’s Dean Walker says: “Every year, property worth hundreds of thousands of pounds is recovered by the police and not returned to its rightful owners simply because it can't be properly identified. If items can't be identified, the police may be unable to prove that they were ever stolen and could even end up giving your property back to the thieves – and that really is a crime!”

The YouVTag is competitively priced at £4.99 and is available at and .

Free samples and product photographs are available for press evaluations and reviews.
