England Rugby Stars' Conversion by All-Black Soundbar

With the airSOUND sensation from the Orbitsound T12

March 16, 2009, Press Dispensary. Following in the footsteps of Mick Jagger, London Irish and England stars Delon and Steffon Armitage are the latest celebrities to convert to the sonic experience of airSOUND spatial stereo sound produced by the Orbitsound T12 Soundbar.

Unknown just a year ago, the T12 Soundbar produces an incredible spatial stereo soundfield from a compact single enclosure; providing a level of performance that would otherwise only be possible with a far more physically imposing sound system. In addition to which, the T12 produces an identically balanced stereo signal throughout the room, an infinite sweetspot; unlike conventional stereo systems, where there is a limited stereo sweetspot.

Amongst a host of critical accolades throughout the year, the Orbitsound T12 was selected as a product of the year for 2008 in the Observer’s ‘Digital’ section, for bringing greatly improved sound quality to flatscreen TVs, iPod® playback in the home (with its integrated iPod dock) and multimedia sound for large screen workstations.

The Orbitsound T12 was a star of the recent 2009 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, along with the amazing portable T3 mobile stereo speaker, featuring the same single point wide stereo technology. Orbitsound’s success at the CES culminated with Sir Mick Jagger being presented with an Orbitsound T3 by former Pussycat Doll Kaya Jones.

John Cameron, joint MD of Orbitsound Limited, comments “At the beginning of 2008 the Orbitsound brand was unknown, but by the end of the year we were gathering five star reviews for the T12 Soundbar in publications such as iPod User and Macworld. The airSOUND technology used in Orbitsound’s products creates an infinite sweetspot and avoids the endless positioning issues of two speaker and surround systems. We have every confidence that Orbitsound will continue to grow as we roll out new products through 2009.”

Commenting on the sound from his T12, England’s try scorer against Wales and Ireland, Delon Armitage, states: “The first thing I watched when I connected the T12 to my TV was Batman: The Dark Knight. All I can say is wow! It sounded absolutely awesome. How can you get all that sound through one box?”

Retail pricing of currently available models, the T3 mobile stereo speaker is just £49 inc VAT and the T12 soundbar is now £249 inc VAT. Euro pricing is €55 for the T3, €285 for the T12 all excluding tax.
