First Databank and Hong Kong & Tsuen Wan Adventist Hospitals announce new partnership
FDB's clinical decision support will provide clinicians with tailored warning messages on potential drug-drug interactions and duplicate therapy during prescribing and dispensing processes.
FDB's drug database will further support medical staff by enabling them to access detailed drug information electronically instead of consulting a reference book. The comprehensive information which includes dosing, side effects and drug indications will be available while performing error-prone tasks like prescribing and dispensing.
Patrick Leung, Director of Pharmacy Services, Hong Kong and Tsuen Wan Adventist Hospitals, comments on the partnership: "As part of our patient safety initiative at Adventist Hospitals, we aim to offer the best range of healthcare services that promote a total healing environment. FDB was chosen because of its long standing and trusted reputation amongst many hospitals in the region."
Darren Nichols Managing Director, FDB, adds: "We look forward to a close working relationship with the Adventist Hospitals as we support them in the delivery of excellent healthcare to the local community. Adventist joins other elite hospitals in the region by providing leadership in the use of clinical decision support."
FDB will be exhibiting at Arab Health in Dubai, UAE 28-31st January 2013 on stand 6C40 (Hall 6). Clinical and technical staff will be on hand to answer questions and carry out product demonstrations. For more information please visit: www.arabhealthonline.com
