Brighton packs a city into an exhibition stand at The Meetings Show
Also on the VisitBrighton stand will be a plywood rendering of Brighton’s West Pier as a desk and chairs for use by VisitBrighton’s show guests.
Head of Sales & Marketing for VisitBrighton, Julia Gallagher, said “Brighton has the same capacity for meetings and conventions as Britain’s much larger cities such as Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham. But Brighton’s more condensed scale is hugely beneficial to delegates visiting us, as so much of what we offer is concentrated in an easy-to-walk area.”
Brighton’s compact nature means that meeting and conference delegates can access all venues within a 10 minute walk of each other and then easily meet up with peers and colleagues to continue informal networking – so often an event’s greatest productivity comes from informal networking ‘after hours’. There is also no necessity for expensive and time-consuming transfers and, because the whole flavour of Brighton is on hand, delegates come to feel a real part of the city and to experience a real Brighton welcome.
Julia Gallagher said: “We wanted to give our Meetings Show visitors a strongly visual sense of how compact Brighton is. We also wanted to demonstrate the excellence of the creative, digital and IT sector in Brighton, which is why we worked with a locally-based company, Developing Dreams, to create Brighton in miniature, showing in detail the proximity of our conference and meetings venues and hotels.”
Developing Dreams director Kati Byrne said: "We were delighted to work with VisitBrighton on this challenging brief - to create an exhibition stand that stood out from the crowd and represents the compactness of Brighton as well as the city's cultural offering and vibrancy.
“We went on to design and build an intricate three dimensional mini Brighton with artistic interpretations of the main conference venues made out of laser cut plywood. We also turned the West Pier into a table and seats where trade show visitors can rest while chatting to VisitBrighton representatives about their events."
VisitBrighton will be exhibiting at The Meetings Show, 26-27 June 2019, at London Olympia, stand no J302.
