Taavi Davies Joins DHCI
2005-10-04http://www.dhci.co.uk), the London-based provider of specialist advice to hedge funds, today announces Taavi Davies has joined the firm as an associate.
Taavi gained his MA (1997) and LLM (2000) from Cambridge University, followed by training at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London. This period included a secondment to the legal department at Goldman Sachs International, where he gained experience of the prime brokerage, equity finance and repo businesses.
Before joining DHCI, Taavi Davies was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, advising major financial institutions and corporates on a broad range of finance and corporate matters.
Daniel Harris, who runs DHCI, comments: ‘Taavi will be a great asset to us and a valuable resource for our high-end hedge fund clients. He is exceptionally bright and has extensive experience, both at prominent law firms and in the commercial world, of advising on the legal aspects of prime brokerage, swaps, repo and the securities lending businesses’.
Taavi Davies will initially be based in DHCI's London office, before moving in early 2006 to the firm's new California office.
