Brett Harkness Scoops Children's Photographer of the Year Award
September 25, 2006, Press Dispensary. The talent and expertise of Brett Harkness, the Lancashire based lifestyle portrait photographer (http://www.brettharknessphotography.com), is recognised this month – September 2006 - by Professional Photographer Magazine with its prestigious Professional Children’s Photographer of the Year award.
The Children’s Photographer of the Year title highlights Harkness’s skill and creative vision in capturing the delicate beauty of babies and children. Drawing upon his extensive professional photographic experience, Brett Harkness offers families the chance to be portrayed by a highly sought photographic artist – on location.
Kristie Harkness, Brett’s wife and professional partner, says: “We prefer to work outside where the natural light and atmosphere of the locale adds to the story told by the photographs. Wherever we are, we strive to capture the essence and emotion of the subject in a beautiful way.”
Simply passionate about his work, Harkness says: “Being a photographer is not a job, it is who I am."
The renowned photography publication’s accolade is a crowning glory for the photographer who carved out his reputation with select international clients and travelled worldwide in pursuit of his craft.
